Terms of Service

Welcome to Grimio! These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the pastry recipe application.

Using the service implies acceptance of these terms. They should be read carefully.

Article 1 — Purpose

Grimio is a web pastry recipe platform that provides:

• Detailed recipes with step-by-step instructions
• Videos demonstrating techniques, from short clips to full lessons
• Pro tips and common mistakes to avoid
• Automatically generated shopping lists
• Favorites and rating system

The platform also lets creator pastry chefs publish their own recipes and content, available for free or through paid offers governed by the Sales Terms. The relationship between Grimio and creators is governed by the Creator Terms.

The service is published by Moonstack SAS, a simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €1,000 (RCS Paris 105 262 687), whose registered office is located at 21 rue de Charonne, 75011 Paris.

Article 2 — Service Access

2.1 Public Access

Certain recipes (freebies) are accessible without registration with full content: instructions, videos, and tips.

2.2 Member Access

Creating a free account grants access to the complete recipe catalog and advanced features:

• All recipes (beyond freebies)
• Favorites and shopping lists
• Ratings and comments

2.3 Beta phase

Registration is open to everyone and the catalogue is freely accessible. The service remains in beta: some features are in restricted access and its scope may evolve, with features possibly added, changed or removed.

Article 3 — Registration

3.1 Account Creation

The user can register via:

• Email and password
• A magic link sent by email
• A Google or Apple account

3.2 Commitments

By creating an account, the user commits to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Create only one account per person
• Protect the confidentiality of their credentials
• Inform Grimio of any unauthorized use of their account

3.3 Minimum Age

The service is open to everyone. If the user is under 16, they must have parental or guardian consent.

Article 4 — Service Use

4.1 Authorized Use

The service is intended for:

• Personal, non-commercial use
• In compliance with these Terms of Service and applicable law

4.2 Prohibited Uses

The user is strictly prohibited from:

• Copying, reproducing, or mass extracting content, including through bots, scrapers, or automated scripts
• Republishing or redistributing a creator's content (recipes, photos, videos) on any other medium or platform without their authorization, even with attribution
• Using the service for commercial purposes without permission
• Attempting to bypass security measures
• Circumventing access restrictions on paid or exclusive content
• Publishing offensive, illegal, or defamatory content
• Impersonating another person
• Disrupting the service

Article 5 — Intellectual Property

5.1 Grimio Content

The recipes and content published by Grimio (text, videos, images, logos, design, source code), as well as the platform itself, are the exclusive property of Grimio, unless otherwise stated.

This content is protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Any unauthorized reproduction constitutes infringement.

5.2 User Content

Profile photos uploaded by the user remain their property. By using them on the service, the user grants Grimio a non-exclusive license to display them within the service.

Creators retain ownership of the recipes and content they publish. They remain solely responsible for it and warrant that they hold the rights to it. The limited license they grant Grimio (hosting, display, technical adaptations) is detailed right by right in Article 4 of the Creator Terms, which also guarantee their moral rights and data portability.

Article 6 — User-Generated Content

6.1 Ratings and Comments

The user may rate recipes and publish comments. By publishing content, they:

• Guarantee that the content is legal and does not infringe third-party rights
• Grant Grimio a non-exclusive license to display this content
• Accept that this content will be visible to other users

6.2 Moderation

Grimio applies graduated moderation: removal of the content at issue, then account suspension for repeated breaches, then termination for serious breaches. Manifestly illegal content may be removed without notice. The affected user is informed of the measure and its reasons, and may contest it by writing to hello@grimio.app. For creators, the specific guarantees (30-day reasoned notice) of the Creator Terms apply.

6.3 Reporting illegal content

Any user may report content they consider illegal or infringing by writing to hello@grimio.app (subject "Report"), specifying the content link and the reasons. Grimio acknowledges receipt, processes the report promptly, and informs its author of the outcome, in accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

Article 7 — Liability

7.1 Service "As Is"

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of permanent availability. Grimio strives to keep the service accessible but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

7.2 Pastry Results

Recipes are provided for informational purposes. Grimio cannot guarantee results identical to photos or videos, as results depend on many factors (ingredients, equipment, technique).

7.3 Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

While Grimio strives to list ingredients accurately, it accepts no liability for allergic reactions. Ingredients must always be verified in case of allergies.

7.4 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Grimio shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from service use.

Article 8 — Personal Data

The collection and processing of the user's personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy.

In accordance with GDPR, the user has the right to access, correct, delete, and port their data.

Article 9 — Modification and Termination

9.1 Terms of Service Modifications

Grimio may modify these Terms of Service at any time. For substantial changes, the user will be notified by email or through an app notification.

Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9.2 Account Deletion

The user can delete their account at any time:

• From their profile settings
• By contacting hello@grimio.app

Deletion results in erasure of the user's data within 30 days, in accordance with the privacy policy.

9.3 Termination by Grimio

Grimio reserves the right to suspend or delete the account in case of violation of these Terms of Service, after a reasoned notification, or without notice in case of serious breach or manifestly illegal content. For creators, the 30-day reasoned notice provided by the Creator Terms applies.

Article 10 — Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by French law .

In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action. Failing that, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
